Author, Christy Dell, grew up overseas, and saw many faces of children. She said, "I wrote this book to tell children that they are each valuable and have their own unique treasure inside, just by being who they are."


This tale takes children on an adventure to Africa with three pirate brothers to find treasure. What they discover is a surprise, treasure only visible through a magical spyglass. The pirate brothers' spyglass opens the children's eyes to see themselves and each other the way they truly were made to be. The story helps children to see the value in themselves and in others. This is an important but uncommon message in many books today.
